For The Third Space artists Alice Cunningham, Jo Lathwood, Miriam Austin and performance collective Protoplay were asked to create site specific works in The Regency Town House, Sussex. The location had been unchanged since the regency period.“Wings” was made in the old servants quarters. The artwork discuss’ ideas of suppression, escapism and yet enduring human strength symbolized in the human hair binding the cracking clay together.
